Bob Ferguson and Jason De Jong after their shoot off for the Pump Gun Champion Title
Pump Gun and Side By Side Shoot - Fun Event - Feb 23rd
This shoot provides shooters with the chance to dust off one of their less-frequently used, and sometimes family treasured, shotguns and have some fun with it!

Congratulations to Jason De Jong who was our Pump Gun Champion with a HOA of 124 /140.

Bob Ferguson tied with Jason and they enjoyed a energetic and cold shoot off. Bob lost the shoot off, however he shot the Golden Flash Target ( see below) during the shoot and won the 50/50 cash pot. To see the full scoring check out our website under Shooting.

Gwen Day with Kevin Cole the Side by Side Champion with a score of 107 / 140
Something new this year !

Each shoot this year we will offer a "Golden Flash Target" Jackpot pool opportunity. You will have the option to pay $10.00 to be included in this pool. There will be two hidden flash targets in each shoot, if you hit the target you will either win half the cash pot or split it with the one other shooter. The remainder of the 50/50 jackpot will stay in the pool until the next shoot and continue to build throughout the year.

Blog Article
"Timing" by Luther Cutts
Timing of your mount and the release of the shot

This article is directed at those shooters who shoot from the low-gun position and mount the gun after seeing the target. In this article I will discuss shooting from the low gun position and obtaining forward allowance using sustained lead. This is the particular technique that I use and teach – it is by no means the only way to shoot, but it is the way that makes the most sense to me.  At the end of the article, I will explore the timing of the shot using Pass Through and Pull Away, two other commonly used techniques used to obtain forward allowance on a moving target.
