As the Corona Virus has begun being confirmed in the United States, you will likely see an overwhelming amount of information about how to control the spread of the disease.

Below are tips as presented by known virologist, Dr. James Robb. These tips will serve you well no matter what the germ is that is circulating.

NO HANDSHAKES!
-It's time for a fist bump, wave or slight bow.
USE YOUR KNUCKLES
-To turn on and off switches, push elevator buttons etc.
DON'T USE BARE HANDS
-Use a paper towel, your fist, elbow, or hip to open public doors, turn on faucets
DISINFECT GROCERY CARTS
-Don't forget about the top side and front of the cart!
WASH HANDS WITH SOAP
-Wash your hands 20-30 seconds under water using soap.
SANITIZE YOUR HANDS
-Sanitize your hands whenever you are unable to wash them with soap.

USE TISSUES
-Don't sneeze into your elbow unless you absolutely have to. Use tissues then THROW THEM OUT and wash your hands!
WEAR GLOVES
-Corona virus is not airborne. It is spread through saliva and mucus droplets. Wear gloves if your unable to wash your hands or disinfect them
WHY WEAR A MASK?
Dr Robb recommends a surgical because it prevents you from touching your face. Your hands are likely the most contaminated part of your body. Keeping them out of your eyes, nose and mouth is key to staying healthy!
TAKE ZINC LOZENGES
Zinc Lozenges have been proven to effectively reduce the multiplying of virus in your throat and nasopharynx. Cold-Eze is a popular brand and found readily available in stores.

A FEW FINAL THOUGHTS:
While we all hope that the virus here in the United States does not impact us the same way it did in China, we can not stress enough how important it is to wash your hands and to stay home if you are feeling sick!
