Dear Friends,
I hope that each of you are well and finding ways to manage during this time of uncertainty. I am writing with news of Singing City’s plans for our
May 3
concert in light of the latest recommendations from the CDC for social distancing and sheltering in place.
The staff and board of directors have made the decision to
postpone
our performance of
To Be Certain of the Dawn
and reschedule the concert for early this fall. We are working on setting a date and will be back in touch with the details.
We understand this news is disappointing to many, as it is for us, but it just means waiting a few more months before we can bring this deeply meaningful and beautiful work to you. If you already have tickets for the May 3 concert, they will be automatically transferred into the new date. If you cannot make the new date, you will have the following options.
- Exchange your tickets for a future performance in the 2020-21 season;
- donate the value of your tickets as a much-appreciated gift to the Singing City Friends Drive; or
- Request a refund.
Singing City has always been about community. Social distancing is especially difficult, yet necessary. We all need to do our part.
Enjoy the slideshow below. It's a reminder of what a great season we've had. We will weather the storm and it won't be long before we're singing together again. In fact, like thousands of students now engaged in online learning, we are going to give singing virtually a try–just to stay connected. We'll let you know how it goes.
Thank you for your support and take care of yourselves!
Lauren Anderson,
Executive Director
