Pearl, the Belgian Wit-style brew, returns to the taproom in October. Cousin Eddie is sneaking his way back, too! That's right, Brighten's Christmas Ale will be fresh on tap by the end of the month!

It's a great time to swing in and grab a bite to eat. Brighten has elevated their food specials, offering a new one every week. New sandwiches such as the Copley Cheesesteak, the Bacon Date Aioli Turkey Sandwich and the Mushroom & Swiss Melt are making mouths water. If it's a new week, there's a new special. Lock 15 Brewing

Lock 15 will be tapping a crowd favorite, the Howard St. Hooch! This is a rye double IPA, 10% ABV. It’s a woody and orange citrus IPA with a malty backbone and a mild spicy rye kick.

On Oct. 11, the Mustill Store Museum will be hosting the Oatmeal Festival at Cascade Locks Park from 12-5pm. There will be free live music, food and tons of iconic Akron fun. Lock 15 will celebrate with the Akron Cereal Beer! This year’s was made with Waffle Crisp cereal and maple syrup, instead of the traditional Golden Grahams and honey. LEARN MORE

Akronym Brewing will open its doors during the Akron Marathon, Sept. 27, with fresh beers on tap! Their kitchen is not yet operating, but guests are encouraged to bring food from the many great restaurants nearby. They will open for their first full week of service starting Sept. 29. Cash is highly encouraged, and old gift cards will no longer be accepted due to new ownership.

Missing Mountain Brewing Co.

October is full of events at Missing Mountain! On Oct. 4, they’ll host their Oktorberfest, which includes live traditional music from 2pm-6pm along with food and drink specials. 

Get ready for a Witch Crafts Night on Oct. 8. This is a ticketed event with a special host guiding you through a custom crescent moon-shaped wreath. A house beer or glass of wine is included with the price of admission.   

Oct. 15, get ready for more Witch Crafts, where you'll make an apothecary potion Halloween display. This is also a ticketed event with a special host guiding you through a custom potion blend. Tickets include a house beer or a glass of wine.   

Nightmare on Front Street Bar Crawl hits Missing Mountain on Oct. 18. There will be plenty of drink specials, and they'll pass out candy for people in costume and shuttles. LEARN MORE
