Black Ops' Birthday, Fosters, Gear is coming

What's Happening Now As more and more people are vaccinated and COVID-19 restrictions ease, we are looking forward to a busy summer. Several events are in the works--watch this space!

Black Ops Rescue's Birthday is May 2nd and we are growing fast! Sunday, May 2nd marks 3 years since Black Ops Rescue came into being. We are so proud of the work that we are doing and know that it truly makes a difference in the lives of our veteran clients and shelter/rescue pets. We could not do it without the support of our dedicated volunteers and donors. Thank you! Though 2020 presented all of us with many challenges, we have weathered the storm and come out stronger for it. Here are some of the things you can expect from us in the near future: More happy endings! We are currently working with several clients and will share their stories soon. Swag! We've received many requests for branded items like t-shirts and hats and will have those available for purchase in the near future. Expanded partnerships! We are in process with several new shelters and rescues so that we can work together to save more lives. New board members! We recently expanded our board and will be seating 4 highly qualified new directors that will enable us to take our mission to new heights. Increased community partnerships. We are in process with multiple local businesses for events, fundraisers, donations, and more. All of these endeavors take time, energy, and funding. If you'd like to help, please click the button below. How You Can Help Fosters Needed! Do you have a heart for veterans and/or homeless pets? Black Ops Rescue is seeking qualified foster homes for our shelter/rescue pets. Fostering is no cost to you--we take care of all needed supplies (crate, toys, food, etc.) and veterinary care. What our fosters give and what we learn from them is priceless. Your love, time, and training exponentially increase the success rate of our pets when they transition into their veteran's home. Because we already have the veteran client in place when we are seeking out the perfect pet, our fosters are time delimited. Generally speaking our pets are in their foster homes for as little as one week and up to three weeks. Fosters provide individualized attention, observations, and care that greatly contributes to our knowledge of each animal, many of whom have no history when they come into a shelter or rescue. Socialization, house and crate training, and leash manners provided by our fosters help ensure that the pet will integrate well into their new home. If you would like to give back and have some time and love to spare, please apply below. VA Expands COVID-19 Vaccine Eligibility to Include Caregivers and Spouses The Veterans Administration is now offering COVID-19 vaccinations for all who are currently enrolled in VA health care or currently receive care at the VA, as well as all primary and secondary family caregivers who are enrolled in their Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) and come with the veteran to get a vaccine. Some VA locations have additional availability for spouses, surviving spouses, caregivers, and CHAMPVA members based on supply. Click the link below for more information.
