Nick's Corner...
Thank You to ALL Who Joined Us in Our Walk
Our 5th Annual 5k Walk was a fun family day for all in support of our mission to save the lives of the most innocent and helpless among us, newborns.
This year we were honored that Steve Stowe, Vice President/Executive Director of Miami Heat Charitable Fund was our Grand Marshall. Everyone enjoyed seeing him and hearing his message of support for our mission. We are thrilled that he announced he will be with us again next year. We are so appreciative that Miami-Dade County Commissioner Esteban Bovo presented a proclamation to us from himself, Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, and the Members of the Board of County Commissioners on behalf of Miami-Dade County and the Community. Read more...
Yes. A parent of a newborn infant left in a safe place and under the “Safe Haven” program may claim his or her newborn infant up until the court enters a judgment terminating his or her parental rights, which is approximately 30 days. A claim for the newborn infant must be made to the entity having physical or legal custody of the newborn infant or to the circuit court before whom proceedings involving the newborn infant are pending.
Six Newborns Now Have a Family
With your continued support, we were able to welcome six precious babies into the world this year alone. 279 newborns (274 in Florida, 4 in other states and one little one in the country of Honduras) now have a future, lots of love with their forever families.
