I hope you and your loved ones got through the pandemic safe and well. Like me, I suspect that you've been yearning to enjoy live music again. And... unfortunately, many are still cautious about coming out to concert halls for top-notch performers. I'm writing with a great opportunity!

On Saturday, August 7th at 8pm, I am thrilled to co-host a virtual concert featuring John McCutcheon, a six-time Grammy nominee and remarkably engaging singer/songwriter.

This concert will be the best of both of worlds – a “big venue” performer from the comfort of your own home. Normally, seeing John has meant higher ticket prices, large concert halls, and not seeing the stage clearly because of the tall guy sitting in front of you! With co-hosts from house concerts around the country, John is generously donating 30% of my ticket sales to a local nonprofit (more info below).

My pal Guy Clark's first song was "Step Inside This House." It's an invitation I've been thinking about a lot these last eighteen months. So, while we await the opportunity to gather in person for live music again, I'm inviting you to step inside my house for a virtual house concert.  August 7th will be an evening of music, stories, and fun. Everyone has a front row seat, and we'll have an informal chat/Q&A after the show.   • John’s virtual concerts are broadcast through Mandolin. These concerts have very high audio and video quality, and there’s  an ongoing chat function to interact with other concertgoers.

  • 30% of all ticket sales purchased through my URL will be donated to a local nonprofit I've chosen. Please help me support the critically important work of CaringMatters, a non-medical hospice services organization that offers a variety of services around the county, free of charge.

  • Ticket prices (on the honor system) are:
  • $20 single ticket;
  • $30 family/household;
  • $10 student;
  • $5 unemployed; and
  • $50 music supporter.
