Summer Mission Appeal

On the weekend of July 20-21, 2024, we will welcome Fr. Warren Puno, a missionary from the Diocese of Lucena in the Philippines, to our parishes. Fr. Puno will share the joys and challenges of his diocese and ask for our generosity that will help make a meaningful impact to his people. For more info on Fr. Warren Puno and the Appeal: https://bit.ly/4cSk5Bh

Let's Honor and Pray for Grandparents

The Church celebrates the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly each year on the Sunday closest to the feast of Ss. Joachim and Anne, Jesus' grandparents. This year, it is celebrated on July 28, 2024. Pope Francis has chosen a line from Psalm 71, "Do not cast me off in my old age," as the theme. Here is a prayer for us to remember our grandparents, both living and deceased, and the elderly. https://bit.ly/4fjCr0b

Mass Intentions

We have some open Mass intentions in the coming weeks. If you would like to request a Mass for someone living or deceased, Mass intentions are available. Email info@oratorychurch.org to make arrangements. Please include the name of the person in your email. The offering is $20. Please pay by using Pushpay or by mailing a check to 64 Middagh St., Brooklyn.

St. Boniface Sister Parish in Turkana Update

Thank you to all the children and families of the Oratory parishes for your sacrifices and generosity during Lent for our Sister Parish in Turkana. We were able to send an extra $255 with our most recently quarterly stipend to support their parish programs. Thank you also for your interest and enthusiasm at our program at St Boniface in May. These activities help keep our bond of connection alive. Father Edwin, pastor of our Sister Parish, recently wrote:

“ I greet you saying ‘peace and all that is good.’ We thank God who protects us and enables us to remain together in prayer. We greatly appreciate your efforts during Lent and we thank you for your loving hearts. Two seminarians are helping us for a few months during a break in their studies. And a newly ordained priest has joined us. A blessing for our parish. We also have a large number of people joining our women’s group and some joining our men’s group, strengthening our parish life. On behalf of St Mark’s Lokitaung, we greatly appreciate your support and may God continue showering blessings upon you all."

Summer Masses at Assumption
