We will meet at 1pm on the third Thursday of each month, starting on February 20, in the residence at 64 Middagh Street. Conversation will center on an article in French on some aspect of contemporary French culture or current events chosen by that month’s group leader. If interested, email Fr. Vin at vbiagi@oratorychurch.orgSoyez courageux! Venez nous-rejoindre!

Palms into Ashes

We will burn last year's palms to make ashes for Ash Wednesday. If you have palms from last year, bring them to Mass and put them in the basket at the back of both churches. We will need to have them by Sunday, February 23, so we can burn the palms the following week (March 2) after the 9:30am Mass at Assumption.

Lenten Pilgrimage

Assumption parish is hosting a day in the Lenten Pilgrimage of Brooklyn and Queens which invites people to visit a different parish each day, except Sundays, during Lent. This year, forty parishes are designated for specific days on the itinerary where people can visit different parishes to experience the church’s beauty and the community’s beauty. Visit the Pilgrimage website to download the app and view the pilgrimage itinerary. At each stop, pilgrims can join local parishioners at Mass, or in Eucharistic Adoration, prayer, reflection, and more.

Women In The Church Lecture 2025

Kerry Alys Robinson, CEO & President Catholic Charities, USA

Save The Date

St. Boniface welcomes Kerry Alys Robinson, only the second laywoman CEO of Catholic Charities USA, who was asked to lead Catholic Charities’ agencies around the US and its territories which provide comfort, hope and relief to vulnerable people and those living in poverty, regardless of their faith or background.” Their work upholds “the inherent dignity of all persons.” It is fitting for Kerry to demonstrate that the Annunciation (3/23) – Mary confidently saying “yes” to God – is not a sign of compliance but rather a courageous embrace to becoming a catalyst for change and an inspiration for women.
