Dear Skål USA Presidents, Skål USA Representatives and Members,
Our fellow
Skålleagues in Karala, India are suffering from the devastating monsoon floods of a few days ago. There are over 400 reported deaths and over a million people displaced in the past two weeks. Over 4,000 relief camps have been set up in the area and rescue attempts are still being made to get to submerged villages.
Our fellow members from Skål India have reached out to their Skål friends from around the world to help in the restoration of this devastated region.
How can we help? The priority is getting people back in their homes. To that end all tourism associations from this area have banded together to form a task force to make sure that the needs of the people are met and that funds donated will be spent wisely.
If you and your club can help in any way it would be so appreciated. Skål India is committed to ensure that the funds are used appropriately for rehabilitation identified by Skål Cochin. Donations can be sent as a wire transfer to Skål Cochin bank account as follows"
