Fellow Skålleagues,

It's going to be a very tough week for travel as Hurricane Florence bears down on the East Coast of the United States. The powerful storm is expected to make landfall in the Carolinas this weekend, and more than a million people are under mandatory evacuation orders in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Airlines have extended waivers and advisories for travelers with itineraries involving airports in the predicted path of the storm.

Based on these facts, your Skal USA EC has made the decision for the Skal USA EC members to participate in the Skal USA EC Meeting and the NCM meeting remotely as well instead of travelling to ABA Offices in Washington DC.

The NCM start time remains the same as 3.30 pm US EST. We have 97% of participation reported however depending on the upcoming severe weather conditions, we are aware that our Skålleagues in NC, SC and VA may not be able to join the NCM.

Please keep our Skålleagues in Raleigh- Durham, NC; Charlotte, NC, Myrtle Beach, SC and Richmond, VA in your thoughts and prayers. Skålleagues in these cities/ states please note that the Skål International FVF funds will be available for Skålleagues who will be in need. To learn more about the FVF Fund, please click here. Let's hope that no one will be in need and will pass the storm safely.

As always your Skål USA EC remains at your service for any questions, concerns and suggestions.

In Friendship and Skål,
