Community Action Spotlight:

Holiday Stocking Project

Happy Holidays! Members of the community have come together once again to create holiday stockings to bring good cheer to their neighbors at this festive time of year. Stockings were stitched by members of the Woolley Fiber Quilters, Quilters by the River, Bethlehem Lutheran Church Quilters, and some individual contributors. They were stuffed by volunteers with items donated by the quilters, Soroptimist International of Sedro-Woolley and The Walnut Tree Thrift Shop. These beautiful stockings will be distributed in December by volunteers to over 260 local low-income seniors who receive a monthly box of food from Community Action.

A big thank you to all who contributed to this project, and all who volunteer their time throughout the year helping make Skagit County a better place to live!

If you are or know a senior aged 60 or older who might be interested in receiving a monthly food box, please call (360) 410-5023.

Do you like helping others? Do you want to drive change in your community? Do you want to align your personal values with the work you do? We are hiring!
