Monthly News
Introduction
We’ve taken a pause from our monthly newsletter format to create a more engaging platform to share news and information from Skills for Change. As such, we are pleased to be launching a new online quarterly magazine on November 1st, to provide readers with fresh content about Skills for Change programs, services and events, articles of interest and client/partner profiles. We are excited to be bringing this new magazine to you! In the interim of the launch, we are providing you with information on our AGM and 35th anniversary celebrations.
AGM & Employer Partner Awards
On September 13th, we held our 34th AGM at Toronto City Hall and presented the 2016-17 Annual Report. The AGM was followed by our Employer Partner Awards ceremony, which recognizes the accomplishments of Skills for Change’s business partners. A keynote address was delivered by Mr. Prasana Balachandran, Director of Communications at Ideal Developments. More information about the awards and winners will be profiled in the November quarterly magazine.
35th Anniversary Celebrations
This October, we commence celebrations of our 35th anniversary. The celebrations will continue throughout the year, and an open house is being planned for our partners, funders, clients/former clients and general community to visit our offices and relive the 35 year history of the Agency. Details regarding the open house will be provided soon!

In the spirit of our 35th anniversary celebrations, Skills for Change seeks your support as a mentor, community partner, friend, or former client, to ensure we can provide learning and training opportunities for immigrants and refugees, to enable them to fully participate in Canadian society.

Your support will go a long way in helping to
  • Develop language skills
  • Provide employment opportunities
  • Help youth stay connected
  • Assist with women and seniors programming…
And much more!
