Oh, we have been so busy behind the scenes. The space is coming along, with walls up, windows installed and plumbing done. Next is the floor. We have locked down the recipe and are working hard on the nutrition panel so that the wrapper can be put into production. We have a couple of new team members now: Max Durante in marketing who is making all the great instagram posts at #skybarcandybar, and Casey Coleman, our graphic designer who will be key to getting the wrapper finalized. We are only weeks away from our trips to Pennsylvania and Michigan for factory acceptance testing of the wrapping machine and the molding line. There are numerous little details and components and in case you did not know it, the economy is booming. Which means that the many different vendors and suppliers we need things from are very very busy. Yikes! It will all work out in the end, but like all of you, I am having a hard time waiting.....Meanwhile I have included some nostalgic Sky Bar trivia below, and PLEASE keep these great Sky Bar memories coming. You can send them to info@skybarcandy.com.
On July 20th it will be the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.
Here's the Sky Bar wrapper from that era.

The newspaper ad for the debut of Sky Bar in 1938. The font on this wrapper is the one we chose to write "Sky Bar" in place of "NECCO" on the sections of the bar.
