Dear Friends of Belite,

You may have noticed that all references to our carbon fiber composite aircraft "SkyDock" have been removed from our website.  This is because we have decided that a composite carbon fiber aircraft is not in Belite's future.

We are offering our molds and our prototype aircraft for sale.  We are open to offers; here is some information which will help evaluate whether you'd like to buy our prototype and / or our production molds.

1)  The prototype flew without N number or build logs.  We have determined that it is heavy relative to ultralight regulations, therefore it will never again be flown by James.  It can be legally N-numbered under FAA Exhibition guidelines by any competent individual or organization.  We've robbed some components out of it (landing gear, flap servos).  The prototype had a lot of filler prep under the world class paint job.  The prototype easily flew with electric power.  It is offered without propulsion of any kind.

2)  The fuselage and wing molds are stored in West Virginia.  Molds included:  Wing "D" cell; fuselage left / right.  The "D" cell mold is designed for vacuum infusion process.  The fuselage molds are designed for wet layup process.  A vendor is available to convert the fuselage molds to vacuum infusion.  We have quotations in hand for serial production of the carbon fiber components.

3)  A prototype canopy is included.  Never trimmed or installed.  A vendor is available.

4)  Everything "as-is, where-is".  You are welcome, by appointment, to inspect the prototype aircraft (in storage in Wichita, KS) and the composite tooling (in West Virginia).

5)  Absolutely no warranties or representations.  Do not rely on anything but your own determination in the purchase of this design or prototype.  The prototype is expressly unairworthy at this time.

6)  All latest CAD included in SKETCHUP format.  For a serious party, you would probably want to re-engineer the CAD to Solidworks with the addition of a 3D capture of the existing fuselage.  You would also want to re-engineer the structures to make assembly easier.

7)  We've set a deadline of  June 15  for the sale of these assets, but we will terminate the offer whenever we've reached a suitable conclusion with a prospective buyer.

8)  We are ASKING $50,000 for this collection of IP, tooling, and prototype aircraft.  We will CONSIDER any serious offer.  We will CONSIDER parting the tooling and the prototype aircraft.

Thanks for your interest.  Please direct initial inquiries to:   [email protected]
