Career Fair Was a Success!
There was a huge turnout for Tuesday’s career fair at the Champlain Valley Expo. Kim Lewis, Bob Cavanaugh, Pat Maher, Lara Bitler, Eric Schubert, and John Casella II all took part in the packed day. Thanks also to Joe Casella, Kyle Cornell and Zack Thompson for stopping by to show their support and say hi after attending a job meeting in Burlington.
We had both an indoor booth (set up with information, giveaways, and an interactive table set up with our RC equipment), and an outdoor exhibit (set up for truck tours and an equipment rodeo). Both of our displays were a big hit!
Check out the video and photos of the event below!

Safety Topic: Defensive Driving
The number of road deaths in Vermont during the first few months of 2022 is almost double the average for this time of year. As of March 15, there had been 14 fatalities, compared to eight at the same point last year.
There are multiple stories every day on job sites about distracted drivers pulling out right in front of them. There have also been an increased number of incidents involving road rage, which have had even more serious outcomes than in the past. Many people on the road pay no attention to how long it can take someone to react and stop.
Please practice defensive driving, and stay safe out on the road.
This is the last week of the month, and we only have 3 Good Catch/Near Miss submissions - please remember to keep reporting them to your supervisor!
Can you answer the question from this week's safety discussion?
What is a good example of defensive driving?
Always think about what your next move would be if a crash were to occur
Signal to distracted drivers that they are doing something wrong
Stay next to other vehicles so you can keep an eye on their driving habits
