So far this year, Skyline’s programs have provided an average of over 4500 service deliveries to our patrons each month. The continued increase in service deliveries is a testament to the hard work of our team, donors, and volunteers.
We started the year by updating the Food Resource Center shopping layout and streamlining our shopping process. The Mobile Pantry is serving more than 1000 individuals monthly, which represents a significant increase. The Skyline Eye Clinic has already provided more than 200 eye examinations and over 150 pairs of glasses thanks to partnerships with NewView and our team of volunteer optometrists and ophthalmologists. The Style Shop distributed 261 pairs of shoes to our patrons thanks to a partnership with St. Andrews Community Church. In addition, the Style Shop has provided clothing for 167 referred patrons. Lastly, the Skyline Garden has been working hard to prepare for a busy Spring growing season. Alongside sprouting seeds for the Spring, the Garden has harvested 10 pounds of leafy greens from hydroponic towers, and diverted 750 lbs of food waste to produce compost.
