Stay up to date!
From Sunday:

Walter Brueggemann (a noted teacher and preacher) said: "The central problem of our lives is that we are torn apart by the conflict between our attraction to the good news of God's abundance and the power of our belief in scarcity - a belief that makes us greedy, mean, and un-neighborly."  This is what our Stewardship Campaign is all about.
God has promised that there will always be more than enough resources for us to share and still have plenty for ourselves. Will we share or will we keep all our resources? Do we believe in scarcity or do we believe in God's Abundance?

Volunteering at Shalom House

Our Youth served last Saturday at Shalom Farms which is a Food Justice Network Farm located near Midlothian, VA. The farm provides vegetables for Feed More and other agencies across RVA. We planted two of those long rows of garlic cloves, a crop that will make a lot of meals more tasty when it is harvested next year.  There were 3 other work groups that joined us. We estimate that our group planted just over 2500 garlic cloves.
If you would like to volunteer or are looking for a small group volunteer opportunity follow this link.

The Children and Adult Choirs combined to play some beautiful music on Sunday.
