To Get Started...
STEP 1: Click the "Start Fundraising" button (above) to go to our team's fundraising page. Once there, click the blue "Join Our Team" button.
STEP 2: Fill out the registration information. (create a login, register as an adult/youth depending on age, join the PRUMC Youth team) Each student will set their personal fundraising goal to $150 and must meet that minimum to participate in the sleep out.**
STEP 3: The registration form asks for a $25 donation to register (this DOES go toward the total fundraising goal) but you can skip this step using code: SLEEP and then click "Complete Registration".
STEP 4: Get familiar with your giving page and feel free to personalize it using the editing tools. You can even make your page private if you wish. This means that someone visiting the Sleep Out America website cannot search for your name. Instead, you can invite people to donate to your team using the direct link to your page. Click on "Your Page" on the top toolbar then select the "Settings" tab. To hide your page from the public, unclick "Allow people to search for my fundraising page."
STEP 5: Start fundraising! Share your page with family, friends, neighbors, and more! By fundraising for this event, you are getting a chance to raise awareness for the mission of CHGA and gathering important funds for them to continue their amazing work. Your fundraising page will also have helpful resources ("Resources" on the top toolbar) on how to fundraise if this is your first time! We'll be giving special prizes to people who surpass the $150 goal!
If you'd rather skip the online fundraising component, no worries! You can do the fundraising in a way that works best for YOU! Just let the youth staff know you plan to participate and bring a single check to the event for the funds that you raised.
