Wednesday, February 10th
, WTAE Action Weather will make a school visit to Sloan. A WTAE meteorologist and a Carnegie Science Center representative will present a one-hour weather program including some cool weather experiments for our students. Students can wear any Franklin Regional or blue and gold clothing that day as well. Watch for highlights of our school's visit that evening on Action
News

5pm and 11pm

Sloan PTO's Box Tops for Education Winter Contest will begin Friday, February 5th and end Friday, February 19th!
- Collect Box Tops from your favorite grocery products.
- Put your Box Tops in baggies or sealed envelopes.
- Label the baggies/envelopes with your teacher's name and the number of Box Tops(groups of 50 preferred).
- Give your labeled baggies/envelopes to the classroom teacher by Friday, February 19th

Sloan PTO After School Programs invites students to join us after school to create a seasonal
craft. The staff from The Crafty Shack will be on hand to assist students in making a Bunny
Plate after school on Friday February 26th from 3:45-4:45 pm for a cost of $14.00. Projects will be glazed and fired at The Crafty Shack and returned to school for distribution to students. The registration form can be found here and MUST be returned no later than February 12th.

Friday, April 8th from 6;00-9:00pm, we will combine the Science & Arts Fair AND Science Night into one explosive event! There will be
hands-on experiments, interactive games, demonstrations, displays, prizes, and of course, the awesome projects completed by our very own students. Its NEVER TOO EARLY to start thinking about what you want to submit. Information & Forms will be sent home the week of 2/15, and will be due 3/11.

We currently have 429 supporters and total points earned for this year are 935. Please register your Giant Eagle Advantage Card. Points for your purchases are automatically accumulated. Anyone with an Advantage Card can sign up and designate our school, so please tell your family and friends.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to the January Spirit Sales. A special thanks to our wonderful volunteers: Patricia Mitchell, Kara Bertucci, Kelly Thomas, Sue Salata, Marlo Ayres, Elaine Yarabinetz, Jenn Taylor and Deb Rhea. The next sales are scheduled for March 10 and 11 where we will be selling swim bags for $8. GO PANTHERS!!!
