Dear Members, Friends, and Colleagues:
Reflecting on what message to share this Holiday Season, that’s the word and feeling that kept popping into my head. Yes, Gratitude even after all we’ve been through these many months of restrictions, quarantine, and challenges in our lives.
Gratitude that even through a pandemic we evolved and learned new ways to live, work, and stay safe. So wonderful to see the creativity, resiliency, and courage to take these changes head-on in our community and succeed gloriously.
Gratitude for the many individuals, businesses, and organizations that stepped up to be there to help our community. Feel so Blessed to learn how many selfless “Angels” we are surrounded by in this community!
Gratitude for the opportunities to learn new ways to live, work, share, and celebrate. The Silver lining for many of us, perhaps, was learning new ways to thrive and keep going - Zoom Meetings, Zoom Happy Hours, Drive-by Celebrations, and the ever-popular Porch Pick-ups!
Your Chamber too went through its own challenges but it was our ultimate goal, even through all the many changes, to keep you, our Membership first and foremost in our minds. We dug in deep and are proud of what we were able to accomplish – We’ve successfully transitioned to a “Virtual Office”, we’ve stepped up our pace in sharing Vital Government News Flashes with our community via our DCCC 2.0 Email Blast and Web Blog, we’ve built up a dedicated and supportive Board, we’ve brought on some new members as well! And we’ve had two very successful Zoom Happy Hours and hope to see you on the 3rd!
We believe that 2021 will bring all of us new hope and opportunities to meet face to face with family, colleagues, and friends again. COVID will not stop us as a Community – you’ve all proven that!
So – keep Gratitude in our hearts! Wherever you have your festivities, right at home or miles away, on behalf of the DCCC Board I wish you all peace, love, safety, health and happiness, and everything that holidays have to offer.
