We hope you had a fun and safe Family Day long weekend!

Effective yesterday, the provincial Stay-Ay-Home order was lifted for Niagara, and retail stores were permitted to reopen their doors to reduced-capacity, in-person shopping. It's exciting to be moving in the right direction towards widespread reopening, and we must continue doing our part to stop the spread. The Chamber still has disposable non-medical masks available for free to local businesses; contact us to arrange contactless pick-up.

We know that not every business is able to re-open, and there is considerable and understandable frustration for those not able to open right now. We value the expertise and intention of our Public Health and Government representatives, and will continue to work with all partners to encourage safe practices and data-driven decision-making. We encourage everyone to follow public health guidelines and operate within the mandated framework, and we strongly encourage respectful, constructive dialogue.

Within the current framework, we can all do our part to support local businesses: shop locally, recommend local businesses online and to family and friends, and share social media posts to spread awareness. These small acts of support add up in big ways for our local businesses. YOU make a difference.
