Hamilton has engaged pediatricians, specialists and highly-regarded national experts to consider the need for a designated facility to provide comprehensive care and support to children with unique developmental needs.

Pacesetter Community
The Early Education Empowerment Zone partnerships have given Dalton Public Schools the opportunity to expand several early education initiatives that support our youngest learners and provide a solid literacy foundation.

Dalton/Whitfield County was one of 48 communities across the nation to be recognized as a Pacesetter Honoree by the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. The community received the award as recognition for its excellence in innovative community literacy and early childhood language strategies through its Get Georgia Reading Campaign.
