SMALL BUSINESS RECOVERY GRANT PROGRAM
COVID-19 Relief Funding
Southeastern Utah Association of Local Governments (SEUALG) has launched a Small Business Recovery Grant Program in response to COVID-19. The goal of the program is to assist small businesses located in Carbon, Emery, Grand, and San Juan Counties that have been hit hardest by the COVID-19 outbreak.
Funding for the program is provided through the State of Utah Small Cities Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The CDBG program received additional funding to address COVID-19 through the recently passed CARES Act. Eligible businesses may apply for up to $25,000 each with a minimum request of $5,000.
To qualify, a business must have experienced a significant negative impact as a result of public health orders in March 2020 (or subsequent health orders). The business must have a business presence in southeastern Utah that was financially impacted due to a health order associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Newly established businesses will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
The Business Recovery Grant Program can provide assistance to eligible business expenses such as utilities, rent, payroll taxes, employee health benefits, insurance, improvements to building to encourage social distancing, PPE, etc.
