Global Mixed Martial Arts Academy

The Arc of Alachua County
The Arc of Alachua County is a community based organization commited to providing a continuum of services, support and advocacy to assure that people with developmental disabilities can enjoy respect and dignity, and be full participants in the community.

United Way's Community Investment Fund supports the Arc-2-Work program.This program is designed to increase the employment outcomes for high school graduates and clients of The Arc. Participants are provided with a 20-hour curriculum in pre-employment training taught in a classroom setting. Courses include career exploration, how to search for a job, the application process, financial literacy, proper appearance and demeanor, and mock interviews. Once participants graduate, they are placed in the field to volunteer and gain hands-on experience. 

Your support of the Community Investment Fund ensures individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities have the knowledge and ability to gain real life experiences in the job market.

VITA: Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
Dates, Times and Locations Vary
Learn to prepare taxes and make a difference in the community! Volunteer to help prepare taxes for low- to-moderate-income households through United Way of North Central Florida's VITA Program. 

Our team will provide you with training to achieve certification in limited tax law. Submit your application now and you will be one step closer to becoming a VITA tax volunteer. Please note applicant's information will be forwarded to the appropriate IRS office.
