BUSINESS SUPPORTS AND RESOURCES

As of May 14th, Stage One from Alberta's Relaunch Strategy has been launched. The launch of the first stage has allowed certain businesses to reopen and operate to serve customers, while continuing to practice proper hygiene, sanitation and infection prevention as per Alberta Health Service's requirements.

Alberta Biz Connect - The Government of Alberta launched the Biz Connect website, a resource to help businesses that are able to reopen in Stage One to do so, while keeping staff and customers safe. The website includes a red tape reduction submission form to help you share your ideas on modernizing regulations and reducing red tape, especially for businesses as they respond to COVID-19.

Temporary Business Signage Criteria during COVID-19 - The City of Spruce Grove will allow select temporary signage on City boulevards and business premises until August 30th, 2020. Business owners will be required to notify the City's Planning and Development department in advance of setting up a temporary sign, while providing information outlining how long the temporary sign will be displayed for.

Small Business Resources - The Government of Alberta is providing supports that are available to help entrepreneurs and small businesses start, grow and succeed. This includes key government programs, Alberta-wide service providers, and valuable contact information.

Site Rehabilitation Program - The Government of Alberta includes information about eligible oil and gas service companies and how they can apply for grant funding to do abandonment and reclamation work on oil and gas sites in Alberta. The second increment application period will open the week of May 19th, 2020.

Large Employer Emergency Financing Facility (LEEFF) - The Government of Alberta is providing bridge financing to Canada's largest employers, whose needs are not being met through conventional financing in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.
