Literacy Pittsburgh’s Family Literacy Program is designed to foster a love of learning in both parent and child and create a culture of literacy within the home.
From December 13-17, Literacy Pittsburgh’s Young Professional’s Board will host a week of holiday activities for the families who participate in this program. Families will be invited to Take a Ride on the Polar Express. Activities will include a nut roll making class, story time, craft activities and a movie night. At the conclusion of the week, each child will be given their very own copy of Polar Express.
Mystery Lovers Bookshop is teaming up with Literacy Pittsburgh this holiday season and we are looking for 35 sponsors to purchase a copy of The Polar Express to be given to children participating in the Family Literacy Program.
