Louisiana SBDC to celebrate
National Small Business Week May 5 – 11
More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business. They create about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year.

The LSBDC will celebrate Louisiana's top entrepreneurs, business owners and small business resource organization on Thursday, May 9 at the Louisiana Governor's Mansion.

The LSBDC has a number of learning opportunities during National Small Business Week that include:

chamber and Inside Northside Publications.

This publication will also include a membership listing of all our recently renewed 2019 chamber members and new members.

Lakeview Regional Medical Center, LOPA and Southern Eye Bank hosted a flag raising & butterfly release ceremony on April 30 th
 The Donate Life flag raising is a way for hospitals throughout the state of Louisiana to help raise awareness for the critical need for donors and to honor those heroes who have given the gift of life through organ, eye and tissue donation.
LACCE Day at the Capitol:
Yesterday was LACCE Day at the Capitol with over 20 chambers represented from across the state, hosted by LABI. The major bills we received information on are those
impacting the cost of automobile insurance, lawsuit thresholds, and ITEP. It was also the oil and gas industry day at the capital where a large crowd of oil industry employees and leaders gave presentations followed by brief speeches by the three gubernatorial candidates, Governor John Bel Edwards , Congressman Ralph Abraham , and Eddie Rispone .
