To all our local nonprofits struggling during the pandemic,

Big help for small organizations is now on its way, thanks to the new Miami-Dade Nonprofit Support Grants Program made possible by strong partnerships in our Resilient305.

Funded by the federal CARES Act, this $10 million program provides economic relief to local nonprofits impacted by COVID-19. Grant money is earmarked for organizations with 25 or fewer employees and must be used to cover payroll, business interruption costs, re-opening expenses and other financial losses related to the pandemic.

Grants will be awarded in amounts up to $47,500 based on gross revenue.

The Miami Foundation will host two webinars to walk applicants through the program guidelines and answer questions. The webinars will be held Friday, September 11, at 11 a.m. and Tuesday, September 15, at 11 a.m. Register for the webinars here.

The deadline to apply is September 30 at 11:59 p.m. Apply here.

“We thank The Miami Foundation for their partnership in dispersing this vital federal aid,” said Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez. “Grants like these are key to helping nonprofits through the financial burdens brought on by this pandemic.”

The Miami-Dade Nonprofit Support Grants Program helps achieve key objectives of the Resilient305 Strategy launched last year, including Action 34: Advance Pandemics Communication, Action 43: Roll Out 5-Step Guide to Innovative Recovery Financing, and Action 56: Finance a Resilient Future.

Strong local leadership helps ensure a better tomorrow for us all.
