About Roger Rooney
A Smart City evangelist, Roger has over a decade of digital delivery experience and was the OECD liaison for broadband for the Federal Government, chief architect of Canberra’s first digital strategy, key enabler of the CBRfree public Wi-Fi network and the project manager and product developer for Smart Parking Canberra; a service that helps to decrease travel times and congestion in the nation’s capital.
A seasoned digital transformation promoter, he knows from first-hand experience as a program manager of 6,000 infrastructure projects in 2010 that technology is a force multiplier that can be harnessed to speed up work, create additional value for end-users and better target administrative effort to deliver additional value for citizens.
