Dear Friends,

Happy New Year!

Thank you for your support throughout 2021 and wish you a successful and healthy 2022. It is not easy what we have set out to do, but the impact made in just one year tells us this is the right path. Open-Innovation and collaboration are our core values, and they have brought us many wonderful partnerships and opportunities to help uplift rural communities. SVM has the potential to help millions of underserved villagers around the world, together we can help empower them with self-reliance and access to things we take for granted.
Thank you, as always, for being with us! The impact of your support is truly beyond measure.

I've always believed in numbers. So it is with much pride that my team and I share the impact of our efforts in Meghalaya in the past year.

UC Berkeley Students Complete SVM Projects in Business Innovation and Analytics Program
Berkeley Haas is not just our Knowledge Partner but also plays a key role in leveraging a network of companies and technologies. The Business School comes with qualified resources in research and students who help SVM co-innovate solutions through resourceful educational programs like Business Innovation and Analytics Program. This particular program helps students build skills in innovation, entrepreneurship, and data science through lectures and by completing a self-directed project. This involves proposing a solution based on the Grand Challenges drafted by the ground team of SVM. The program this cycle produced 25 business model solutions that will be further assessed for the next 6 months by SVM to determine the projects’ feasibility and scalability. ⠀ Read More about the Program and Visit the platform to learn more about the projects. Positive Population Healthcare Management (PPHM) Project Launched
The rural communities in Meghalaya have limited access to good healthcare. The physical terrain and remote villages make access to advanced healthcare facilities even more difficult. Positive Population Healthcare Management (PPHM) is a Smart Village Movement Project in collaboration with the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Meghalaya. The mission of this project is to take 40 Positive Health Parameters chosen for the state of Meghalaya and bring them to World Health Organization standards in the district of Ri Bhoi, an aspirational district in Meghalaya, over the next 7 years. We aim to bring easy healthcare access to the rural populations through the help of digital solution partners like Maya MD which uses Artificial Intelligence along with the medical expertise of physicians to deliver the best access to healthcare. This project will help reduce disease management expenditure and increase longevity. The project is now in the pilot phase, where the team has begun collecting field data for the need-based assessments.
