IT'S THAT TIME OF
THE YEAR AGAIN!
“Most people don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan."
– John L. Beckley

|
It's that time of year when we are gearing up for the holidays, shopping, and finishing up loose ends.
It's also the time when we need to review all our financial stuff whether we are still working or retired. This includes things like our year-end tax planning, reviewing and making changes to our employee benefit statements, 401(k), health insurance, HSAs, FSAs, and HRAs. This is also when you can join, switch or drop your Medicare plans. For those looking to retire in 2023, it's the perfect time to begin exploring your options with Social Security. And it's the time to be jolly!

MAKING SENSE
OF THE OPEN ENROLLMENT ALPHABET
|
By Wayne Titus, CPA/PFS, AIFA®, SWT Guest
It’s open-enrollment season again, and at some companies, employees will need to choose whether they would like to sign up for a Health Savings Account (HSA), a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), or a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). While it sounds like alphabet soup, it’s important to understand the differences. If you don’t, you could be leaving money on the table next year.

WHY RETIREMENT INCOME PLANNING IS DIFFERENT THAN FINANCIAL PLANNING
|
By Katana Abbott, CFP®, CSA, CSSCS, SWE Founder
I just celebrated my 64th birthday last month, and it's hitting me like a ton of bricks that I'll be enrolling in Medicare next year!
The enrollment period lasts 7 months, starting 3 months before you turn 65, so that means next July I'll be exploring my plan.
