SmartHub is Coming on September 8

Starting September 8, you will be able to manage your account online with SmartHub, our new web and mobile app.

SmartHub offers many new features that are not currently available through our current account online system.

Some changes may require your immediate attention once our new system goes live on September 8.

New Rate Structure Coming Next Year

In September, you might notice a new line item on your bill called "Demand charge."

There is no charge associated with this line item at this time.

Beginning in October of 2021, you will be charged for your Demand usage. This is not a new charge. The Demand charge has always been bundled with the energy rates.

When the Demand charge and Energy charge are unbundled, your Energy charge will be reduced to ensure the overall change is revenue neutral.

We will not collect additional revenue with this new structure. How it affects your bill will depend on how you use electricity in your home.

When you receive your September bill, you will see your Demand usage as a line item. You can use our calculator tool to see how this change will impact your bill once the Demand charge goes into effect in October of 2021.

5 Easy Ways to Save Money this Summer
  1. On hot days, keep windows, doors, and curtains closed to keep cool air in and the hot sun out. Open them at night to let cool breezes through.
  2. Keep your thermostat set around 78 degrees. Use a ceiling fan or box fan to make you feel cooler.
  3. Cook more meals in microwaves or on outdoor BBQs.
  4. Dry laundry on a clothesline.
  5. Insulate and weather-strip your attic access cover.

Receive a Rebate for Your EV Charger

If you own an electric vehicle (EV), you may be eligible for a $100 rebate.

The rebate is available to customers who install a new Level 2 EV charger at the residence of a current CRPUD customer.
