Greetings!

I had a friend visit recently from the suburbs of Washington, DC who put me back in touch with my connections to Nature. Although she grew up in southern Wisconsin and had some roots in the country and Door County, she'd been apart from that for some time. Her appreciation of all things green and growing reignited my own love of the natural world. The next morning after she left, I stood on my deck and smelled what the rain had left: The softest fragrance of sweet grass and fresh earth. I listened to the whispers of the leaves and the one single note of a bird calling. I remembered what I'd forgotten: To take time to just be in Nature and connect with each element as if for the first time. It's an exciting world outside our doorstep if we could but attune. And when we do, we find that Nature seeks to deliver messages to our souls.
