Recently Completed Smilezones
Over the weekend of April 1st
-3rd
, 2016,
we installed three Smilezones at the
Children's Aid
Society of London and Middlesex, ON. Three
family
meeting/observation rooms
were
renovated by the Foundation, providing a safe, neutral,
and child-focused setting for children and youth in CAS care
to visit with their parents, guardians, and/or caregivers. Learn more about our London CAS Smilezones here!
Over the weekend of April 22nd-24th, 2016,
we installed
five Smilezones
in the Neuromuscular and Epilepsy Centre at the
Children's Hospital of Western Ontario in London, ON
.
The Paediatric Neurology and Epilepsy rooms were transformed into a kid-centric
camp setting, designed to brighten hospital visits for paediatric patients with neurological

Over the weekend of May 27-29th
, 2016, we installed seven Smilezones at the Kingston General Hospital in Kingston, ON. These paediatric and family focused rooms were transformed into lively environments with comfortable seating, interactive technology and sensory-oriented activities to provide an

Upcoming Smilezones
Be sure to keep an eye out this summer for upcoming Smilezone installations! Later this month, we will be transforming twelve spaces in the family-centered practice at
Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, ON
. This July, we will be revamping five Smilezones in the pediatric and obstetrics departments at the
Headwaters Heath Care Centre in Orangeville, ON.
We can't wait to share these incredible changes with all of you, stay tuned!

Hockey Helping Kids
Our second annual
Hockey Helping Kids
24-Hour Charity Hockey Tournament took place on April 29-30th at Joshua Creek Arena
in Oakville. The tournament
was a tremendous success! It was an incredible fun-filled weekend where over 150 players, families, friends and volunteers came together in the spirit of hockey. We are proud to announce that the event raised over $123,000 - funds that will help continue to put smiles on kids' faces! Check out more photos from this fantastic weekend here!

Toronto Rock Charity Partnership
|
During their 2016 season, the Toronto Rock partnered with Smilezone Foundation and raised over $84,000! Lacrosse fans were able to support the Rock's fundraising efforts in various ways throughout the season, including a live jersey auction, an online helmet auction, and the 50/50 draw program at all Rock home games! Thank you to the entire Toronto Rock team for their incredible efforts this season, Smilezone had a blast!

Fourth Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament
Our Fourth Annual Smilezone Celebrity Golf Tournament will be taking place on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Milton, ON. It is going to be an incredibly exciting day that brings together over 300 golfers, celebrities, volunteers and sponsors to celebrate and help raise critical funds for the Foundation! The tournament will include complementary lunch, drinks, dinner and an exciting live and silent auction.
