Join fellow alums and friends of Smith College on February 2 at Planet Word Museum for a reception and program honoring President McCartney’s visionary leadership and the profound ways in which this great college has moved forward during her tenure.

SCCW Mentoring Program Kickoff


The SCCW Mentoring Program has officially launched its 2023 cohort! On January 14th, a group of 12 mentors and 12 mentees met virtually to learn more about each other's goals and interests and to find their mentoring match. Keep an eye out for information on future programming events throughout the year.


Are you interested in getting involved with the program while maintaining your busy schedule? Becoming a Spot Mentor may be right for you! Please send an email to sccwmentoring@gmail.com if you're interested in connecting with local Smithies and offering one-off conversations in professional development and career guidance.

Advertise with the SCCW


Showcase your business or sales with the SCCW! We will publish your advertisement in our monthly electronic newsletter and webpage for the 2022-2023 club year. The rate is $100 for the club year. These funds go directly to the club's operating expenses, and do not count toward the scholarship fund. Please contact sccwcomm@gmail.com for more information. 



SCCW Events

Please join the SCCW for the first-ever Young Alum Wine & Cheese on Friday, February 3, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This event is a casual way for alums to catch up with each other, relax, and enjoy light snacks and libations. 


At Smith, Senior Wine & Cheese was a much-celebrated event hosted weekly by each house. To bring this tradition closer to home, SCCW is going to be hosting semi-regular Wine & Cheese nights for young alums. This month’s event will be themed for Palentine’s Day! Register here:

Join. us to celebrate Black History Month with a tour of the National Museum of African American History on Saturday, February 25th at 1:00pm.

It's easy to stay up-to-date with your SCCW membership and dues
Thank you alumnae and friends for your financial support! If you're interested in renewing your membership, please visit the SCCW website (www.dcsmithclub.com). From there, joining or renewing is easy from your computer or mobile device!

  1. Click the "Membership" tab to join and complete the SCCW Membership Form online. You can make a contribution through PayPal on the same page, OR
  2. Fill out the SCCW Membership Form and return by email to SmithClubDC@gmail.com. Contributions can be made by following the PayPal instructions; OR
  3. Print the SCCW Membership Form and return by mail with a check payable to "SCCW" or "Smith College Club of Washington":
