Downtown Parking Deck Flat Fee Parking -After Hours and Weekends.
Don’t let high parking fees keep you from coming downtown! The city charges a flat $2 fee at the Convention Center and Cherry-Marshall parking decks, week nights 5:30 p.m. to midnight and all day Saturdays and Sundays.
Also, On-street parking is meter FREE after 5:00 p.m. M-F and ALL day Sat & Sun. Designated Handicap spaces are available on Cherry and Fourth Street and on Trade Street.

Daniel Hamm and Brian Summer will be the owners of Dutch Light Bar, opening at 450 N. Patterson Ave. on the second floor of the Bailey South building, directly above Six Hundred°. For more information Click Here
Giadas Trattoria, 210 N. Main St. in Kernersville, has closed permanently. For more information Click Here
Cowboy Brazilian Steakhouse has ended its seven-year run in downtown Winston-Salem, only to be replaced by the very similar Lasso Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse under similar but different ownership and management. For more information Click Here
Johnny’s Farmhouse at 1615 Fox Trot Court off Hanes Mall Boulevard has permanently closed. For more information Click Here
The Little Red Caboose located at 4284 Patterson Ave, which closed in 2022, will reopen as Cowboys Train Station.
Eastern Standard closed to the public after New Year’s, ending a two-year run for the upscale bar. Moving into the space is Dive Bar, an N.C. chain that is less than three years old but already has four locations. For more information Click Here
Looks like the Mayfair Hospitality Group not only has moved the Est! Est! Est! Italian Restaurant formerly at ROAR on Liberty Street to Robinhood Plaza at 3456 Robinhood Rd to make room for the return of Ronnie’s Country Store. They will also open a second “mini ROAR” in the complex. This will feature a four lane bowling alley, small arcade and bar. The location is catered to the family oriented crowd of the area. Patrons can have a dinner out with the kids and the ROAR attractions. Opening is planned for late winter or early spring.
Lot 63 - Coffee & Taproom in Old Salem has opened at 614 S. Street. Lot 63 will be a place for gathering, connecting, studying, & enjoying the history of Old Salem for visitors and locals in a beautiful space with some outdoor seating in the city. For more information Click Here
Mayfair Hospitality Group has a lease of the former Millers Clothing Store at 622 N. Trade Street and will open a sports bar. The sports bar will have televisions, foosball, darts and pool tables.
Spotted Cow Steakhouse - a new steakhouse has opened at the former Cibo Trattoria restaurant location at 529 N. Trade Street that moved to Liberty Street. For more information Click Here
Peach Cobbler Factory has opened at 664 Hanes Mall Blvd. The one-stop shop for all things sweet has twelve flavors of Cobbler, twelve flavors of Banana Pudding, and more. For more information Click Here

Twin City Kiwanis Pancake Jamboree Friday, February 23
Kiwanians invite you to PanJam ‘24, our club’s 64th Pancake Jamboree. We plan to flip more than 10,000 pancakes on Friday, Feb. 23, at Benton Convention Center, in downtown Winston-Salem. Hours: 6:30 a.m.-8 p.m., continuously. Proceeds benefit local youth nonprofits

The Friends of the Forsyth County Central Library need donations for their next big book sale! If you are able, please donate any of the materials listed above. We accept all kinds of materials in good condition except obsolete textbooks, computer manuals, VHS tapes, and cassettes.
