Lake of the Woods. Isn't that mind blowing? I mean the 5 biggest walleyes I've ever caught in my life combined (from any lake, anywhere) probably wouldn't add up to that π€·ββοΈ and these folks do it in a single day!
The top-8 folks (out of 32 pros) have moved on to a 1v1 bracket format, fighting for a chance at a $35K 1st-place payday + ultimate bragging rights.
The bite has been slow, but some giants are being caught. Word is that Pool 2 is at its 3rd lowest level ever since they began keeping records. And on river systems, typically no current really hurts the bite. The good news is that makes it anybody's game.
This story is from a bass derby, but still sorta interesting how they had to go about it:
