Alamo Colleges District Accepts Malcolm Baldrige Award
At the national conference the weekend of April 6-7, the Alamo Colleges District was presented with the 2018 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. The district is the only community college system in the nation to ever win the award, which recognizes the highest level of performance excellence.
Palo Alto College Named Rising Star By National Aspen Institute
The Aspen Institute's College Excellence Program names Palo Alto College a Rising Star award winner of the 2019 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation's signature recognition of high achievement and performance among America's community colleges. During an award ceremony in Washington, D.C., Palo Alto College was honored for building clear pathways to degrees and transfer, exceptional student advising and strong partnerships with K-12 systems.
Four Alamo Colleges District Colleges Among Top Ten Online Community Colleges In Texas
Four of the colleges of the Alamo Colleges District were recently ranked in the top ten on the list of 2019 Best Online Community Colleges in Texas by SR Education Group, a leading education research publisher. Palo Alto College heads the list at number one, with Northwest Vista College ranked sixth, San Antonio College ranked seventh and St. Philip’s College ranked ninth. Palo Alto College also ranked seventh on the 2019 national list of best online community colleges.
Northeast Lakeview College Named One Of The 50 Best Community Colleges In The U.S.
Study.com ranked the top 50 community colleges in the U.S. to help students make an informed decision about their education. Study.com selected the 50 best community colleges in the nation based on several factors including school data reported by the U.S. Department of Education, the school's program offerings, student services and campus activities. Northeast Lakeview College ranked 12th on this list.

Alamo Colleges Celebrate Fiesta
Join the Alamo Colleges for our Fiesta celebrations! Wednesday, April 24, at 11 a.m. the SAC Multicultural Conference presents the second annual SAC Fiesta Brunch, with featured speaker Rita Moreno. Gifts benefit the President’s Fund at SAC. From 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Thursday, April 25, hop on over to St. Philips’ CultureFest and Rib Cook-Off. Also, beginning at noon on April 25, PAC hosts their annual PACfest, featuring the Fiesta Grilldown, live music and a fireworks finale.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Eggstravaganza at Palo Alto College
Join Palo Alto College for a free egg hunt for children 12 and under. Children and their families - grandparents included - will be able to enjoy a day of fun, entertainment and lunch (while supplies last). This event is open to the public and will be held on Saturday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Palo Alto College's Performing Arts Center Meadow, located at 1400 W. Villaret Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78224. Learn More >
Easter Holiday
The Alamo Colleges District will be closed for the Easter Holiday on Friday, April 19 . Regular operating hours at the district and colleges will resume on Monday, April 22.
