Snapshot Video: Early College High School
Our Early College High School program provides students an opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and a college associate degree at the same time. For most students, this is at no cost to them and their families. It is one of a family of high school programs in the Alamo Colleges District that give students a head start on higher education.

St. Philip's College's Annual Commencement Ceremony
St. Philip's College (SPC) honored approximately 970 students' academic achievements, a record high, at its annual Spring Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 10, at the Freeman Coliseum. Among the class of 2019 were graduates from four Early College High Schools (ECHS) - SPC ECHS, Memorial ECHS, Seguin ECHS and Brackenridge ECHS. The commencement address was given by Jordan Ford Co-Founder and General Manager Marc Cross.

San Antonio College's Annual Commencement Ceremony
San Antonio College (SAC) honored approximately 1,039 students' academic achievements at its annual Spring Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 11, at the Freeman Coliseum. In addition, there were about 50 students who earned a GED and nearly 100 early college high school graduates. Distinguished speakers included Outstanding Former Student David Zammiello, Travis ECHS Valedictorian Graciela Isabel Camacho and 2019 SAC Distinguished Graduate Susie Soliz.

Palo Alto College's Annual Commencement Ceremony
Palo Alto College (PAC) honored more than 800 students’ academic achievements at its annual Spring Commencement Ceremony on Monday, May 20, at the Freeman Coliseum. Distinguished guests recognized during the ceremony included Rosie Castro, a community champion, and retired PAC employee, who served as the keynote speaker and received an honorary degree, the 22nd honorary degree approved by the Alamo Colleges District.

Northwest Vista College's Annual Commencement Ceremony
Northwest Vista College (NVC) honored more than 790 students' academic achievements at its annual Spring Commencement Ceremony on Monday, May 13, at the Freeman Coliseum, making it the largest ceremony in NVC's history.
For the first time, NVC had two commencement speakers – Janice Castillo, a 2013 NVC graduate, and her son, Nathaniel Castillo Rodriguez, a current NVC student and tutor in the NVC Math Lab.

Northeast Lakeview College's Annual Commencement Ceremony
Northeast Lakeview College (NLC) honored more than 470 student's academic achievements at its annual Spring Commencement Ceremony on Wednesday, May 15 at the Freeman Coliseum. Among the class of 2019 were high school students from Judson Early College High School. The commencement speaker, selected by a cross-college committee of faculty and staff, was 2019 SOAR Graduate Abigail Rosario Cuevas.

Alamo Colleges District's Alamo Academies Celebrate Graduation
The Alamo Colleges District's award-winning Alamo Academies celebrated the graduation of 622 attendees and 10 graduates at a dinner and graduation ceremony on May 3 at the Omni Hotel at the Colonnade.
Keynote speaker was 2018 Aerospace Academy graduate Christopher Paz, with additional remarks provided by 2019 Information Technology and Security Academy graduate Diego Perez.
Alamo Academies offers five programs that train junior and senior high school students for careers in STEM fields.

The Alamo Colleges District invites you to attend a special Memorial Day Ceremony to honor our nation's military heroes on Monday, May 27, at 10 a.m. at the District Support Offices flag pole located at 201 West Sheridan, San Antonio, TX 78204.

Alamo Colleges District Summer 4-Day Work Week Starts Week Of June 3
The summer 4-day work week is a Board-approved cost-savings initiative that modifies the summer work week to four days to conserve utility and personnel overtime costs. The Alamo Colleges District will operate on a 4-day work week beginning the week of June 3, 2019, and ending the week of July 22, 2019, with a total of eight Friday closures.
