Santa's Castle, the beloved program that brings holiday cheer to military families, is calling on our amazing community members to help make it even more special by donating new unwrapped toys to any of our drop locations around Gig Harbor!
In our 2023 season, 234 volunteer elves distributed $520,528.00 in toys, books, games, bikes, and stocking stuffers to 2822 children from 1300 military families.
Together, we can create a magical holiday experience for our military community. Please drop off your donations by December 3rd.

Join the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce for our Annual Santa's Castle Celebration Luncheon featuring speakers Donna Handoe from Santa’s Castle, Major Amy Smith and SCM Baldwin both from the 201st EMIB (Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade.
This luncheon offers a wonderful opportunity to learn, network, and collaborate with fellow Chamber Members and business professionals.

Santa’s Helpers Needed:
Help spread the holiday spirit! On Dec 14/15 and 21/22 from 12:00-2:30pm, Visit Gig Harbor and the Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance are hosting free photos with Santa at Donkey Creek Park, and we need Santa’s helpers! Volunteers will help manage lines (with hundreds of visitors expected), serve cocoa and treats, assist with photos, and spread holiday cheer. Shifts are 11:30-1:30pm and 1:30-3:30pm; we still need help for most times except Dec 14 (11:30-1:30) and Dec 15 (1:30-3:30) which are already full. Event is rain or shine, so dress warmly! Don't forget to include a few toys, books and puzzles to donate to Santa's Castle and drop them at one of the local drop off locations noted above.

Free Fare Day Friday, Nov. 29!
In thankful appreciation of its customers, partners and Pierce County’s business community, Pierce Transit is offering free fares on local bus, SHUTTLE and Runner services on Friday, Nov. 29. The public is encouraged to take transit for free this Black Friday to support local businesses and shops.
All Pierce Transit routes will be operating on a Sunday schedule on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, Nov. 28) and on a regular weekday schedule on Friday, Nov. 29. Information on routes and schedules can be found at www.PierceTransit.org or by calling Customer Service at 253.581.8000
