Washington's minimum wage will hit $16.28 per hour in 2024


Washington’s minimum wage is going up to $16.28 an hour next year, a 3.4 percent increase over 2023. The Washington State Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) today announced the increase to the minimum wage. It takes effect Jan. 1, 2024. Read more in the article here.

Childcare stabilization grants that kept millions of childcare providers afloat during the pandemic expired on Sep 30. Three million children are now at risk of losing their childcare spots in what some call a "childcare cliff".
