SNAPSHOTS OF SUMMER: A TIME OF RENEWAL

Summer break gave our kids at Living Pearl Children’s Home space to recharge. Through play and rest, they rediscovered joy, built resilience, and found peace—especially meaningful for children healing from trauma.

From soccer training with a renowned coach for our teenagers, to a dream day at the water park for the younger kids, our kids were reminded: they are seen, loved, and meant to experience joy!

For our older youth, a Christian mountain camp offered peace and healing—away from sirens, surrounded by nature, fellowship, and God’s Word. It was more than fun; it was soul-restoring.

August was also full of back to school preparations. We’re thankful for your support that ensured they stepped into the new school year not as victims of circumstance but as students ready to grow and learn! For children who’ve faced abandonment, walking into school with dignity and excitement is no small thing.

Your support reaches far beyond the classroom too - one of our recent Living Pearl graduates entered the Police Academy!

And last month, several of our teenagers made the important decision to follow Jesus in water baptism!

To our partners:

We are grateful! You’re monthly support is more than food and shelter, it’s a lifeline and a path to new beginnings!

EMPOWERING YOUTH THROUGH GODLY VALUES AND SAFE SPACES

Young people often face tough challenges like abuse, exploitation, and mental health struggles. Global Impact partners with local churches to mentor the next generation through trainings and open forums where they can express and process their concerns.

(ABOVE) Last month the Global Impact team led sessions at Word For Everyone church in Davao, addressing key issues around sexuality such as purity, healing from abuse and more. Role play, personal testimonies, and one-on-one ministry created a safe, welcoming space for honest sharing. Worship and fellowship throughout the event helped build a strong sense of community and spiritual connection.

DOCUMENTARY FEATURE

Global Impact was featured this year in a Korean documentary called "Davao Smiles" which captured the life-changing impact of international collaboration to provide free dental care to underserved communities in Davao, Philippines.

The film offers a behind-the-scenes look at the logistical and emotional work of international humanitarian health efforts.

The dental outreach was led by Dr. Urbi of Urbidontics in Davao, and Dr. Lee of Chicago Dental Clinic in South Korea, who coordinated the participation of three dentists and 13 clinicians.

Global Impact was the NGO (Non Government Organization) responsible for selecting patients in need and providing transportation, meals, dental education, Bibles and logistical aid during the mission.

Thank you for changing lives through your prayers & financial support! If you would like to support future dental outreaches, visit www.myglobal.org/donate and select "Project Davao Smiles" as your designation.

PASTOR AMY RETURNS TO HER ROOTS

Pastor Amy was honored to return to her roots to minister & teach at Faith Center in Rockford, IL - the church she grew up in.

With a morning service and a 3 hour evening workshop, the focus of the day was: "The Power of Resilience: Equip Your Spirit, Nourish Your Soul and Elevate Your Leadership"

A participant shared this feedback:

"This teaching helped me understand how the mind, body and spirit are impacted when we are fatigued, stressed and overwhelmed. I learned biblical and practical tools I can use when feeling overwhelmed or in "fight or flight" mode. These tools are methods I can practice daily to move back into a state of peace and thriving."

It was an incredible day learning resilience - an essential skill we can cultivate to help us face life's challenges with strength and adaptability as well as increase our leadership and ministry longevity.

Amy also gave an update in the morning service of Global Impact's international work showing the Broken Crayons mini-documentary on the life of Jorgen Jordan and how further exploitation in her life was circumvented, and instead she was empowered on a path of leadership and impact.

To invite Amy to preach or conduct a workshop at your church in USA, New Zealand, Philippines or other countries, contact our office at global@myglobal.org
