Pilar Ovalle, Rubber Stamp Art Projects

ArtSpot 2014 International Art Fair Miami/San Diego - is a stand-alone art fair hosted this year inside Spectrum Miami Art Fair and inside Art San Diego (in their 6th Edition). ArtSpot 2014 replicates a unique model introduced by Aldo Castillo at MIA-Miami International Art Fair 2011 where he served as their Associate Director.  The concept is to offers sophisticated worldwide art lovers fresh and unique  opportunities to collect in key art markets such as Miami, during Art Basel Week, and in the west of the United States, San Diego.

ArtSpot 2014 hosts prestigious international dealers, exhibiting contemporary art, including photography, works on paper, sculpture, and installations from emerging and established artists. Based on Aldo Castillo's previous experience in directing the 2010 Miami International Art Fair and the American Pavilion & the International Wing at Art Shanghai in 2011 and 2012, he has versioned ArtSpot Miami/San Diego 2014 to showcase what's missing during Art Basel Week in Miami and in San Diego, focusing this year in Modern and Contemporary Latin American art.

The collateral Miami art fairs that take place during Art Basel week and Art San Diego in their 6th edition continue to be a very remarkable success year after year, bringing all the important elements necessary for a healthy art market.

All programs, both in San Diego and Miami are designed to be supported by lectures, symposiums and special exhibitions and tours that will further help educate about new developments in collecting Latin American Art. This includes a lecture by director/curator of Ford Fine Art in Delray Beach, Suzanne Snider, "COLLECTING THE MASTERS."  Suzanne Snider has been working with Central American artists for 12 years. She buys at the Latin American art auctions of Sothebys, Christies, Phillips de Pury, and Morton Casa de Subastas in Mexico. Denise M. Gerson, Former Associate Director, Curator, Lowe Art Museum, University of Miami Art San Diego will participate in panel discussion regarding Collecting Latin American work and will lead tours of ArtSpot to UBS clients and will participate in UBS Cocktail Party Event / Latin American Focus.
