December Zone 4 Your Master Bedroom
Zone 4: Mission #1 Monday
Dear Friends,
We are in the Master Bedroom this week and we can't stress enough to you how important it is for your mental health to have this room decluttered. Being surrounded by clutter while you sleep is just not good for you. For today your mission is to do a 27 fling boogie in the bedroom, grab that trash bag and start tossing. Anything counts, old pantyhose to junk mail! Just toss!
Zone 4: Mission #2 Tuesday
Dear Friends,
Accessories can contribute to some of the biggest clutter problems! Today I want you to take 10 minutes and purge your jewelry boxes, chest, whatever. Now I am not talking about the family heirlooms here. I am talking about the costume stuff that we have collected, been given or don't even know where it came from jewelry.
Remember the rule: If you haven't worn it in the past year - toss it, don't love it - toss it, and it doesn't bring you joy then you toss it. Those earrings that have been missing a mate for years and you have held on "just in case". Well, if it hasn't shown up by now, it is time to let go.
Let Go of the scarves and belts that you haven't worn in years and you really won't wear. They are just taking up space!
Zone 4: Mission #3 Wednesday
Dear Friends,
Today I want you to spend 15 minutes getting rid of anything that does not belong in your bedroom. Things that have gotten thrown in a corner, on a chair or even the floor. The things that you almost don't even see because they have just become part of the room, get it out! If it does not belong there then out it goes!
This does not mean that you have to spend three hours in your bedroom, do what you can do for 15 minutes.
Zone 4: Mission #4 Thursday
Dear Friends,
Today is the day to get rid of the dust in your bedroom. Dust the walls and the ceilings. Have you ever noticed how the dust bunnies seem to creep up the walls? Then grab a dust cloth or feather duster and dust the flat surfaces of your furniture as well.You will be so surprised at how much dusting you can get accomplished in 15 minutes.
Zone 4: Mission #5 Friday
Dear Friends,
Today is the day to attack the clothes pile. Now you all know what I am talking about. This pile is either on a chair, on top of the hamper, dresser or at the foot of your bed. Set your timer for 15 minutes and grab some hangers or start folding. While you are doing this do not hang up or fold something that you hate! This is the time to let it go. If you do not love it, send it right out the door!
