Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month
May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month.

We celebrate the unique culture and contributions of Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States.

According to the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, Asian Pacific America is the story of a vibrant, diverse, and resilient set of communities that have been part of the American experience for more than two hundred years. It is the story of two continents and a constellation of islands joined by the migration, exchange, and competition of people and ideas. Yet, across museums and galleries in the nation’s capital and around the country, we find only fragments of America’s rich Asian Pacific heritage.

Here are some ways you can celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month:

  • Check out Brave Space, a compilation of original songs, sounds, and meditations created by Asian American women and non-binary artists and musicians.
  • Learn about AAPI regional stories of San Diego County and beyond.
  • Attend local festivals and events.
  • Learn more about ways to celebrate Asian/Pacific American Heritage here.
Jewish American Heritage Month
May is Jewish American Heritage Month.

We celebrate more than 350-year history of Jewish contributions to American culture!

According to Jewishamericanheritage.org, celebrating Jewish American Heritage Month helps to strengthen our communities and promote a sense of belonging, shared civic life, and a deeper understanding of cultural heritage. Explore unique resources from across the United States.

UPCOMING MEETINGS
CIE Partner Gathering

The CIE Partner Network works to improve the overall service delivery system for clients. Our meeting provides a forum for partners to share updates about ongoing CIE Initiatives, share trends in our community, and collaborate on how we as a network are leveraging our partnership, data sharing, and the CIE technology platform to address the social determinants of health and increase health equity.

Join us for a range of content. Each month, we may dive into the latest technology projects, elicit feedback on the platform’s care coordination tools, or spotlight programs and supports for unique populations. The partner gathering is a space to engage with peers across our shared network. Join us on the 4th Thursday of every month (except November and December) at 9:00 am via zoom.

The next CIE Partner gathering is on May 25, 2023, at 9 am.
