Dear Church of St. Mary,

Do you remember a snow day from your St. Mary’s days? My children bundled up, running outside to play as soon as the snow covered the ground. The snow is still magical and not a chore requiring shoveling or something to delay travel. These days true snow days may become a relic of the past. Share your memories of school snow days with us by replying to this message!

School News

It’s quiet this month as our students celebrate the Christmas break with their families. Before the holiday, we learned that three members of our 8th Grade class won the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) North Shore Chapter Essay contest:

  • Chapter Winner, which will be going on to the next round of judging: Quinn B.
  • Silver Winner: Maggie C.
  • Bronze Winner: Nicholas A.

The representative from DAR was “impressed with the creativity, sophistication, and details of the essays” Special thank you to Mrs. Mary Pat Fox for encouraging and working with the students on their essays.

Crusader Fund

As you reflect on your giving this past year, we hope you will include the School of St. Mary Crusader Fund in your end-of-year gifts. Your tax-deductible donation to the Crusader Fund ensures that we can continue providing Values for Life to children in preschool through 8th grade. Donations will cover the gap between tuition and the cost of an academically robust program with qualified and loving teachers in an environment that sets them up for success.
