A contemplative walk….
We love not to receive love in return, but because it is the divine nature of love to give, to pour itself out, to surrender to the gift. We surrender not to become something but to open ourselves to the gift. In silent prayer we identify with this gift and become channels for this immense energy. This is how the world will be transformed by Christ.
The Gift of Our Being
We want to become something greater, but until we have unfurled-
our alpha and omega, our origin and destiny-
we may remain hopeless and lost between two worlds.
We might never know the gift of our true complexity.
It often seems to be, of some lost paradise we reminisce.
What if it were more simply an awakening?
A seed that contains our spirit of greatness and differentness?
Formed by God into our being.
Do we regrettably let this seed go unnourished, decay and rot?
Losing all the information it contained and everything it symbolized.
Or do we return to the roots of the original thought?
The gift so carefully consecrated and prized.
This gift cannot be grasped by the mind-
And will never be an object of any kind.
