NEW!: Official Schedule for Local Mission week
June 26-July 1
Local Mission Week is coming up June 26-July 1! Here are the answers to some FAQs about Local Mission Week:
  1. Can my child still sign up? YES! We have plenty of spots open for youth of all ages CLICK HERE to sign up.
  2. Are Midyouth and Sr. High on the same schedule? Midyouth (5th-7th) and Sr. High (8th-graduates) have different schedules!
  3. Can my child come to some events and not others? Half days but not full days? Half the week and not the other half? YES! This is our most flexible mission trip model available. We ask that parents and guardians communicate a child's entire weekly schedule before the start of the week so we can plan all project accordingly.
  4. How will my child get to off-site projects? Parent volunteers are needed! We need all hands on deck to make our mission week happen. If each house hold attending had an adult volunteer with one project, we would be completely covered for the entire week!
Calling all parents of youth going on either Ozark Mission Project trip or Epworth in Slidell, LA mission trip!

We'll be going over:
  • Departure details for each trip
  • Packing lists
  • Work project descriptions
  • Behavior expectations including: phone use, on-site work, and what parents can expect if your child is struggling in any way on a trip with us
  • Your questions!
All youth (5th-12th) parents are invited to join Ellen and youth volunteers at Hill Station for an evening of fellowship. The pandemic has kept us all from knowing our community--come for an evening to get acquainted or reacquainted with other youth parents!
Summer Kickoff: 8th-12th Mystery Lock Out!
June 4th-June 5th: Lock OUT is very different from lock IN. Instead of being locked in the church, students will be sent OUT to activities all over Little Rock.

Why is it a mystery? Because parents/guardians will only know the schedule of activities the morning of the lock out, students will have the fun of being surprised with fun activities starting with lunch and going into the evening!
(Clues will be sent out so students can have a sense of what they might be doing!)

Here's the details of what everyone can know though:
  • Cost per student is $25
  • Students will have the option to spend the night together at a small group leaders, or peer's house--New 8th grade class will spend the night at the church as part of their fun initiation experience!
  • We will feed them lunch, dinner, and breakfast the next morning
  • The lockout will end with students attending worship together at PHUMC the next morning.
  • Students unable to spend the night will be able to have pick up at 9:30 PM Saturday Night. This can be indicated in sign up form.
5:00PM-7:00PM Sunday May 15:

We are celebrating the confirmands!

All youth (7th-12th) are invited to sit in the balcony and attend the confirmation worship service at 5PM in the sanctuary. Afterwards, we will walk to US Pizza and have dinner! Drop off is at the front of the church, and pick up is at US Pizza. Bring $10 to help cover dinner.
What's coming up:
Something different every week! Here's our schedule for May:
  • May 15th: Hang time (games and snacks in the youth room)
  • May 22nd: Cards for veterans
