Celebrating National Volunteer Month, we are grateful for our robust group of professionals who dedicate their time and expertise to our students and organization. Their breadth of support is transforming young lives and propelling them to college and career success.
TAKING NETWORKING TO THE NEXT LEVEL
What a turnout for this year’s Network Experience! Thirty volunteers spent the morning engaged with over 40 high school seniors helping them craft and polish professional introductions followed by a college campus activity designed to hone problem solving and self-advocacy skills. Students are better positioned for professional engagement and navigating campus resources.
VOLUNTEERING: THE NEW TEAMBUILDING
MilliporeSigma hit the ground running as Building STEPS’ newest partner. Serving on Building STEPS Board of Advisors, and as Writing Advisors, a STEM seminar host and special event volunteers, they are collectively committed to championing the next generation of STEM professionals. VOLUNTEERING FROM NEAR AND FAR
Distance does not preclude volunteers from making an impact on students. Engineering consultant Ed S. hails all the way from Alaska! Building STEPS volunteers make a difference from six states-geography does not limit the opportunity to change a Baltimore City student's life!
